As part of our Sun Protection Policy, educators will apply SPF 30+ broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen to children before outdoor activities. Sunscreen is reapplied every two hours, or more frequently if children are swimming or perspiring. Parents may provide an alternative sunscreen if their child has sensitivities or allergies — please label the bottle clearly with your child's name.

The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that the service has policies and procedures in relation to health and safety, including matters relating to— (i) nutrition, food and beverages, dietary requirements; and (ii) sun protection; and (iii) water safety, including safety during any water-based activities; and (iv) the administration of first aid; and (v) sleep and rest for children, including the matters set out in regulation 84B.
